MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue Inc.
(MABTR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation
serving the
states of: Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa,
Kansas, Missouri, North/South Dakota, Wyoming,
Minnesota, Utah, and Arkansas.
MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue is run by the hearts of volunteers and operates strictly on donations. We can't achieve our mission alone. Generous donations from kind people like you sustain us with the financial support necessary to care for hundreds of homeless Bostons we take in every year. You can support MABTR through a tax deductible donation via mail or PayPal.
In 2011 we took in 287 Bostons and Boston mixes. We have saved over 1,600 Bostons since 2006. Click here to view our month to month stats
The rescue agent for this group is Jennifer Misfeldt who has been rescuing dogs since 2002. Dedicated to animals and with the support of family, friends, and volunteers rescuing Boston Terriers is her full time, nonpaying job.
MABTR's rehoming program takes in Boston Terriers of any age and condition, both mentally and physically, into foster care (click here to meet our foster families). We provide full medical care, including spay and neutering, rabies, distemper shot, heartworm testing, and microchipping for each rescued Boston prior to adoption. If other medical conditions introduce themselves while in our care we will address and treat them as well.
The main objective of MABTR's rehoming program is to rescue and rehome surrendered Boston Terriers. Bostons arrive for many reasons: unwanted by their family, strayed, neglected, slated for euthanasia, or no longer wanted by their breeder. We also are able to help the Boston Terrier mixes.
MABTR prides itself on the ability to give commercial breeder (puppy mill) dogs a second chance at life. We encourage the public to please consider a homeless pet before shopping at a pet store. MABTR MISSION "To rescue and re-home abandoned Boston Terriers and to persuade those interested in purchasing a dog, to “adopt, and not shop”, meaning to not purchase a dog or puppy from a puppy mill, or puppy mill-supplied pet store, but instead, to adopt a homeless dog to save a life." We hope you enjoy our website and visit it often. Jennifer Misfeldt 402-510-1346 (Omaha, NE) luckypawpals@aol.com
