Boston of the Month
My name is Buddy. I am 12 years old and weigh 30 pounds. I need a new home because my Mom got sick and cannot take care of me any longer. I am being fostered in Fairway, KS.
My name describes me perfectly; I am Buddy. I am a licker, so you must be ready to have your face licked. A lot. I am very gentle, unless I have a toy I like to shake as the terrier part of me really comes out. Just try to take my toy, just try! Here, I will offer it to you, now I will take it back and kill it! I love toys that make a lot of noise, like squeakers and Babble Balls. Babble Balls get me worked up, so you have to be careful and monitor me. I am kind of old, after all. The thing I love more than my toys is to sleep next to my human. I snore sometimes, but not too much. And I need a blanket or pillow to suck on when I nap and sleep.
It takes me about two weeks to learn my surroundings, and I can get around with no problem. Just don’t move things on me. I love to take a walk, but we have to go the same route every time, so I can keep my bearings. No jogging for me, though. Steps are hard on me, and while I can figure out 2 or 3, the big ones scare me. I might get up, but keep me safe and have gates for me so I don’t do it. I might fall.
I only have the one eye, and do not see very well, but I do use it. Make sure there are no sticks or pointy things for me to run into at my eye level. I need all the help I can get.
Eligible for the Golden Paws Program – $50 off the adoption fee.

Dogs in hospice care have been deemed unadoptable due to terminal illness, but they are still happy and deserving of a good quality of life. Would you be interested in providing for one of these animals? Click here for more information.
