Boston of the Month

eviMy name is Evi.  I am 6 years old and weigh 14 pounds. I need a new home because I have bitten children. I am being fostered in Englewood, CO.

Don’t let my adorableness fool you – I’m all dog. I chase just about anything that moves, and will go after squirrels, birds, mice, chickens, and even goats.
I’ve been surrendered twice previously to a local shelter, both times for biting young children. The shelter finally called MABTR for help in better placing me.

I also don’t play well with little dogs, because I always want to assert my dominance. So a home with no children or other dogs is required.

Even though I have some issues, I’m a really sweet girl with older kids and adults. Ideally, I’d like to bond with one or two people who just want to love on me. I’m smart, and know basic commands. I love to ride in the car, and do so well. I love to play ball and chew on squeaky toys. I’ll alert you when someone rings the door bell, but don’t bark much otherwise. I cry if I’m left in a crate, but eventually tire myself out. I don’t like thunder or the vacuum cleaner.

Even though I’m little, I’m tough. I’ve got the energy for long walks, and even a little hiking. I’m chill in public, and can join you for dinner on the patio at your favorite spot as long as I’m fully supervised.
