At the age of 4 this little girl was released to MABTR by a breeder. She was adjusting well in foster care til one day she stopped eating and did not want to move. Foster mom was concerned for sure. We got into the local vet that spayed her for a check up. After a set of x-rays we found she had Inguinal Hernia that needed immediate attention. /our vet had no room to get her in so we drove one hour to our next partnering vet and within three hours (which included travel time) she was in surgery where she lost a couple of inches of intestine. Plus we found a second hernia to be repaired. Foster’s mom’s concerned saved her life.
She spent 1.5 weeks at the vet to ensure proper healing and to treat an infection that was the result of one of the hernias leaking before repaired.
She eventually found her forever home and is doing great.
MABTR's total medical bill for Lil Bit came to $3051 (which includes a discount). Her MABTR adoption fee was $325 which is based on age, not our investment in medical care.
