Gigi's Second Chance with MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue

Updated: Jan 17, 2023

MABTR alumni, Gigi born 10/9/2021 and released to MABTR by a breeder in September 2022. She arrived in our care with one eye. Per the breeder she was picked on by the other dogs and as a result the eye was damaged thus removed. Unfortunately when she arrived in our care the remaining eye was severely damaged as well. Eye pressure was high resulting in glaucoma and was already blind. We made the decision to remove her remaining eye.

Gigi's total medical bill for the eye removal, spay and other medical needs came to $735 (which includes a discount). Her adoption fee was $400 which is based on age, not our investment in her care.
