We adopted Hector in 2020 at the age of 2. We had just lost our boston of 16-years and were heartbroken. Our house just didn't feel the same without a dog. We kept seeing dogs come up for adoption but when we saw Hector we knew he was the one!
When we picked him up, he jumped straight into our arms and we were immediately in love! Our first night at home he slept in our bed right between us (as he still does every night) snoring away.
His first two years of life were not great. He was backyard breeder that when he arrived in MABTR's care he was covered in ticks of which he still has scars from today. It is unbelievable that such a loving, sweet, and happy dog came from such an unloving place. His past is behind him and now we make good memories together.
His favorite pastimes are going for walks, playing with his toys, laying in sun puddles, and snuggling. He follows us around everywhere and has never met a human or animal that he didn't love.
Hector truly completes our family, and we are so happy for the work that MABTR does to rescue these dogs and help them to find their forever home!
