Rehoming Your Boston

We want to start by thanking you for getting us involved when it comes to having to find a new home for your Boston.  We are very sorry to hear that you can no longer keep your Boston.  We hope to make this as easy as possible for you and your family, but also for your Boston.

Before you make that decision, we would like to help you find solutions that will allow you to keep your dog as a member of your family if this is an option for you.  While we can’t guarantee miracles, we do have extensive experience in dealing with a multitude of issues and can certainly offer suggestions and alternatives to giving up your dog.

If you have any questions about our rehoming procedures or would like copies of any of our forms or documentation please do not hesitate to ask.

How it works:
Your Boston will be placed in foster care, with a family NOT a shelter or facility, until his/her forever home is found.  Our foster homes are located in Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado.  Foster parents are trained to care for all Bostons in rescue.  The foster family immediately starts working on obedience and potty training if needed.  Personality and behavior of the dog is evaluated to allow the foster parents to make the right decision on what type of home would be best for their foster dog.

In the meantime we will take care of any needed medical needs.  Please note that we are not able to reimburse you for any of your costs.  We hope you understand as all our money goes towards the medical care of our Bostons in rescue.

Neither the rescue individual/organization, nor the family or individual adopting the dog is expected to compensate you any amount for the dog.  We do request a monetary donation of $50 should your pet not be spayed/neutered or up to date on Rabies and Distemper.  This will help cover part of the vet cost to get your pet spayed or neutered, which is required before a pet is adopted out.  Other donations are welcome and needed.

We appreciate you considering rescue efforts when needing to rehome your dog.  We treat ever dog that enters our program like our own.  We take pride in what we do and would never put your dog in harms way.

We have an owner surrender form (click here to view and print the surrender form) which you need to complete and sign.  We will collect the surrender form when your Boston arrives into rescue.  All rescued dogs will be placed in a foster home where their health, personality, and behavior is evaluated.  This will ensure we find the perfect home for your Boston.

Please email us at luckypawpals@aol.com for a surrender form.  You can only view the form not fill it out online.  Please provide in the email your complete contact information including phone number, city and state, reason for surrender and age so we can contact you directly with questions and to discuss further our rehoming program.
