Military Support

As many of my readers may know my husband, 1st Lieutenant Matthew Misfeldt, left home on January 3, 2005 and returned back home safely on June 22, 2006 after serving in Ramidi, Iraq as security for the Marine Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit. Arriving back home has been an adjustment. At the same time he is coming home with thoughts on what he can do for the men and women serving both here in the states and in Iraq based on his experiences.

Matt and I are raising funds to support soldiers and supplement monthly training. Prior to his deployment, his unit utilized training aids not normally provided by the military to conduct training. The training was outstanding and prepared him and his men for their mission in Iraq. After seeing the benefits of this training we decided it should be incorporated in all military training.

We are raising $3000 to develop a pilot program that we hope to present to the state of Nebraska for additional funding. Any amount raised above this limit will be donated to the VFW to support soldiers and their families.

This fundraiser is not-for-profit. We have been fortunate to purchase the items below at a generously reduced cost to assist in our effort. Your financial support is greatly appreciated. We have a lot of young soldiers that will benefit from this effort.
