Happy Tails Books Boston Terrier BookJack: “I was going through a tough divorce and some scary medical issues when my daughter, Audrey, asked me for a dog. We ended up with Jack, who turned out to be the ‘little man’ we needed in our lives. He often dons his ‘Sunday best’ (whatever Audrey stuffs him into) to attend her tea parties. She sits down and then he opens the door and prances in like a bunny; always eager to make her feel good with kisses and ‘conversation.’” –Nicole Valentine

*Adoption Process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at www.adoptaboston.com. Check out my video! My name is Bobby. I am a 7 month old Boston MIX with a tail and weigh 17 pounds (and still growing). I need a new home because I was found as a stray. I am being fostered in Denver, CO. I am looking for my forever home and I am all puppy! I like to run around the backyard, play fetch, chew on bones and play with all the toys. I am a smart boy, I learned how to use a dog door very quickly, I know how to “sit” and what “no” means. I like walking a lot, I am working on not chewing on my leash, I just get really excited. I get along well with my foster brothers and I like to PLAY! I also like doing whatever my foster mom is doing, especially cuddle on the couch. I am a quick study. I would do fine in a home with other dogs or by myself. I do need a family who will work with me to teach me more things, and refine my manners because I have a lot of energy, but as I mentioned earlier, I am really smart and eager to learn. Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Working on it Leash-trained? Working on it- just chews on the leash at times Rides well in car? yes Good with other dogs? yes Good with cats? Not tested Good with young children? Not tested Good with strangers? yes Shy or confident? confident Barks? Yes- occasionally Apartment qualified? Would be better in a house due to some barking Any Special needs or Health Issues? no Adoption Fee: $175.00 All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. *Adoption Process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at www.adoptaboston.com. My name is Jordan. I am a 1.5 year old Boston Pug MIX and weigh 24 pounds. I need a new home because my owner moved and could not take us with. I am being fostered in Westminster, CO. I am a little shy about everything at first. I am afraid of big dogs and dogs that growl at me. I am a complete lover. I love toys but I will shred plush toys. I love to snuggle and sit on your lap. My foster mom says I am a little big for a lap dog but I can be pretty persistant. I do enjoy the company of other dogs and like to play with them as long as they are my size or smaller. I have not been taught very much obedience in my life but I am a fast learner. I am still very much like a puppy and have lots of energy. I use a doggie door and have not had any accidents. I walk good on a leash but I do bark at strange dogs. I am learning slowly not to do this. I am very fearful of loud noises but getting more confident each day. Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes Rides well in car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? Not yet tested Good with young children? Yes Good with strangers? I need a new home because I was released from a breeder. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO. I am a unique color. They refer to my coloring as "blue" I am a sweetie pie and love to cuddle. At first I am very shy around people that want to pet me, but after a few minutes I'll warm up. I want to be close to my foster mom and follow her all over the house. I am great with strangers, children and other dogs (big and small), however I am not good with cats. My personality is unlike most of the boston terriers I've met. I am a very mellow guy, but have so much love to give. Everyone that has met me has absolutely loved my chilled out personality and my very bull dog appearance. I have a bulky body and broad head. I need a family with patience and time as I have lots to learn and continue to build confidence Due to my nose being so small I do snore and snort. I am looking to find a family that will donate as much time possible to love me as much as I love them. No kitties please. Am I the right fit for your family? Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Working on it.... Leash-trained? Yes Rides well in car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? No Good with young children? I originally came into rescue last year after my family had a baby and realized they had no time for the dogs. I found a new home however I have to be walked for potty breaks and I tend to have bad aggression towards other dogs while on the leash. I am being fostered in Omaha, NE. Though I have always lived with another dog I prefer to be the only one. I also need a fenced in yard as walks are limited for me due to my bad behavior towards other dogs outside of the home. I am well mannered and loving when it comes to adults. I have not shown any aggression towards small people but I prefer a low active household. Also a household with low traffic. I tend to favor the women in the house as I am not very fond of some men. Eligible for the Golden Paws Program (adoptors 60 yrs and older adopting a dog 7 yrs and older get $50 off the adoption fee noted below) My name is Jak. I am a 10 year old Boston MIX and weigh 19 pounds. I need a new home because my owner is terminally ill and no longer able to care for me. I am being fostered in Kansas City, KS. I was entered into rescue due to my owner being unable to keep me due to a serious medical condition. I was a bit shy at first, but was able to settle in with my foster family rather quickly, have been showing them how much love I have to give. It's hard to believe I'm 10 as I have a lot of energy & love to play. I must be pretty funny, too, as my foster Mom's always laughing at me. I'm also, just as content to snuggle up next to you for quiet time. I do have some manners too, as I will ask to jump up on the couch or bed. I'm a smart, sweet-hearted boy that would love to find a new family to love & entertain. Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes, on a harness Rides well in car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? Not yet tested Good with young children? no as I prefer older children Good with strangers? Yes, but shy Shy or confident? Shy Barks? *Adoption Process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at www.adoptaboston.com. Eligible for the Golden Paws Program (adoptors 60 yrs and older adopting a dog 7 yrs and older get $50 off the adoption fee noted below) My name is Jackie Boy (Jack for short). I am 8 years old and weigh 20 lbs. I need a new home because I bit a child when not supervised. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO. Just look at my big expressive eyes and handsome face! I am the sweetest and most polite little man, and I follow my foster parents everywhere. They love it when I give them kisses and wag my skinny little tail! It took me a while to come out of my shell in foster care. At first my foster parents thought I wasn’t good with some dogs, as I growled a little and wanted my space. But I just needed time to adjust to new surroundings, I get along great with my foster dog brothers and sister now that we know each other. I may never develop into a playmate, but I coexist very well and I don’t get caught up in any dog drama that happens around me. I will play with plush toys by myself and I’m showing a little interest in playing the longer I am with my foster family. I just don’t like it if the other dogs get too pushy. My foster parents are not certain of the circumstances when I reportedly bit a child in my former home, but I’ve never shown aggression in foster care and I am not a fighter. In fact, if I hear people arguing, I will seek out another room as it bothers me. My foster parents will be looking for a quiet household with no children or infrequent exposure to children. I’d be happiest in a low activity home with older folks and an older dog or two. You can find me snoozing at your feet, in bed with you, on your lap, or on the sofa, really anywhere you are. I LOVE to ask for belly rubs. I need a home with a fenced yard, as roaming my territory and being outside are among my favorite activities! I’ll thrive with a consistent routine, and with people who will be devoted to me and adore my sweet personality as much as my foster parents do. I’m really such a good boy, my foster parents can’t believe I haven’t been adopted yet! Am I the one for you? Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? I have had a few accidents but once I establish a routine I am all good Leash-trained? Yes. Rides well in car? Yes. Good with other dogs? After a while I like most dogs. Good with cats? not yet tested Good with young children? No please Good with strangers? yes Shy or confident? Confident. Barks? Yes. Apartment qualified? No as I will bark Any Special needs or Health Issues? None Adoption Fee: $200.00 All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
